just something to think about, not really necessarily related to family law, but the decriminalisation or legalisation of prostitution. The way I see it is that laws relating to it legislate under what conditions consenting adults engage in sexual activities, which should be a private matter. Sexual slavery is not the same as what we have here, although driving it underground seems to be in favour of human traffickers, but I'm not actually sure about that. A lot of the debate seems to revolve around "what if it was YOUR daughter/son doing it", but I don't think parenting should fall to Government just because a child has turned 18. I think it could be done without it being a big deal or a massive pre-election debate. It's not like Government will be running the show and providing the service, just allowing it to happen and governing under what conditions and ensuring privacy of workers is protected.
